CHORIOCARCINOMA
. It is composed almost entirely of mononuclear cytotrophoblasts (
TROPHOBLASTS
). Because its secretion of hCG (
CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN
) is low, a large tumor may develop before the hCG can be detected.
